The main objective of Department of Culture’s administration is the fostering of local tradition and culture. In this connection, in co-operation with he many societies of the Town, a wide variety of cultural events are supported or organised in-house.
Worth mentioning here are the "Bach-Festival-Arnstadt", which opens the annual Thuringian Concert Season, the arts festival „Künste in Haus und Hof“ and the „Arnstadt Zoological Garden Festival“. In addition, the administration is the hub for all booking procedures for the cultural activities of the Town of Arnstadt.
